Founder & CEO

Jason is the founder and driving force behind JDF Gear, bringing a fun but focused energy to everything the brand stands for. He has a deep respect for the men and women who have put their lives on the line to defend our nation and our freedoms.

Inspired by his faith and the blessings in his life, Jason launched JDF Gear in 2025 with a clear mission: to honor active-duty military, veterans, first responders, and their families.

JDF Gear doesn’t just talk about support; it backs it up. The company actively partners with and gives back to organizations that serve those who serve us.

Jason built his team with intention, choosing people who bring more than experience. They share a genuine passion for the mission and a commitment to doing things the right way.

A lifelong leader, Jason has spent years building and running businesses across industries like moving, logistics, and car wash services. He’s also a big fan of Texas sports, a natural people person, and the inspiration behind the JDF name itself.

At the end of the day, Jason’s approach is simple: work hard, take care of people, and don’t overcomplicate what matters. Build something real, stand behind it – and enjoy the ride along the way.

Mia Schamp Carter
Head of Social Media Marketing and Storytelling 

Mia Schamp Carter leads social media marketing and storytelling for JDF Gear, bringing more than 25 years of experience across e-commerce website development, branding, social media marketing, SEO/AI optimization, and full-funnel digital marketing strategy.

Her role goes beyond marketing execution. Mia focuses on shaping how the stories behind JDF Gear are told, translating the experiences of military members, veterans, and first responders into garments and content that resonates, connects, and honors the weight behind the message.

With a background in both creative direction and performance marketing, she builds the systems that carry those stories: from brand positioning and ecommerce experience, to social media strategy and demand generation. The goal isn’t just visibility. It’s meaning, backed by results.

Mia is also known for creating Team Whimsy, a character-driven brand with Bunny, Robot and Anime Mia, with the trio exploring storytelling and audience connection through a distinct, visual lens. She publishes a newsletter on AI image and video generation, where she breaks down emerging tools and workflows, applying that same innovation to how modern brand stories like JDF Gear’s are created and shared.

At JDF Gear, Mia brings both sides together: the discipline to build what works, and the perspective to tell stories that matter.

When she's not managing JDF Gear's social media, Mia can be found building her marketing agency, Marketing Whimsy, and creating Instagram Reels of her Team Whimsy characters: Bunny, Robot and Anime Mia. You may also spot her wrangling ferals and strays, as she's very involved in animal rescue and shares her home with 3 dogs, 14 cats and an aviary of birds.

Scott McCullough
Creative Director and Head of Operations

Scott McCullough is a Creative Director who builds brand systems, campaigns, and content designed to perform in real-world marketing environments. He believes great design should do more than look good; it should make people feel something, make them look twice, and ultimately drive results.

With over 25 years experience across a range of industries, Scott brings a rare balance of creative leadership and strategic thinking to every project and guiding work from concept through execution while maintaining both artistic integrity and business alignment. He also holds a deep respect for those who serve in the armed forces. The freedoms he enjoys are made possible by sacrifices he hasn’t had to make and he doesn’t take that lightly. His work with and JDF Gear is one way he puts that respect into action.

Outside of work, Scott appreciates the details that elevate everyday life: the lines of a well-designed sports car, the ritual of a great cigar paired with smooth bourbon, and the steady companionship of his dogs, Molly and Frankie Boy.

For Scott, it comes down to this: create work that means something, stand behind it, and never forget the people who make it all possible.

Miguel Wood
Fulfillment, Manufacturing, and Logistics Lead
 
Miguel Wood is the founder and owner of Amplified Wear, the company producing and delivering JDF Gear’s branded merchandise. As Fulfillment, Manufacturing, and Logistics Lead, he brings a hands-on, quality-first approach to every piece, ensuring the brand is represented with consistency, precision, and pride.

A U.S. Army Airborne Infantry veteran, Miguel has deep respect for those who serve and the values of commitment, discipline, and mission focus. That background continues to shape how he leads, works, and approaches every partnership.

Supporting service-driven brands isn’t just business; It’s personal. Through Amplified Wear, Miguel has built a company known for high-quality custom apparel, branded merchandise, and personalized goods, with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, service, and reliability. From custom apparel and headwear to laser-engraved and specialty items, his work centers on products people are proud to wear and represent.

Miguel also brings a creative background in live music as a singer, songwriter, and frontman. He understands the power of identity and connection through what people wear, giving him a unique perspective on merchandise as an extension of a mission and story.

In addition, he has experience in enterprise technology, cloud, data, and AI. While his role at JDF Gear focuses on manufacturing and logistics, that technical mindset supports efficient processes and high-quality execution.
